Unicorn pencil holder craft

This month the theme for my Bostik Bloggers craft box was Creatures, and with unicorns being so popular at the moment among my daughter and her friends I decided to make a Unicorn Pencil Pot from a cardboard tube to sit on her desk.

Materials to make a unicorn pencil holder

Instructions:

You can see how to make the Unicorn pencil pots in the short video below:

First cover the toilet roll tube with white paper, or you could paint it white. I used the wide end of the Bostik Fine and Wide Glu Pen to make sure that the cardboard tube was evenly covered with glue before sticking the white paper into place. Then I cut a square of pink flocked craft foam for the base and secured the tube in place using the fine end of the Fine and Wide Glu Pen to add a layer of glue to the base of the cardboard tube.

Cut out a horn from some glittery card or sticky backed plastic and some ears from white card. Decorate them using coloured pens. Secure them into place using some Bostik Foam pads which give a nice 3D effect to the craft. Use the foam pads to stick on some googly eyes and use pens and stickers to add in some details.

Cut the coloured pipe cleaners to a length just longer than the height of the tube and hook them over the top of the tube to form the tail. Add any extra sequins or decorations to bling up your unicorn, then it's ready to decorate your desk!
