A limited edition Christmas puzzle from Ravensburger - Santa's Final Preparations

When I was growing up, at Christmas we always had a jigsaw puzzle on the go which we would all work on together, usually accompanied by a tin of chocolates that seemed so much bigger than the ones that you get today. I recently rediscovered jigsaws after a few years with toddlers that made working on them impossible, and I love having one on the go.

With the half-term holiday over and the nights drawing in, it won't be long before Christmas is up on us. This year's limited edition 1000 piece Christmas jigsaw from Ravensburger is called Santa's Final Preparations, and it depicts Santa and Mrs Claus as they carry out the final things that they need to do before Christmas. I was sent this puzzle to review and it's been keeping me very busy over the last week or so.

In this seasonal jigsaw, Father Christmas is doing some final checks through his list, with a World Atlas close at hand. The Elves are helping to wrap up presents as well as getting up to mischief, and Mrs Claus is overseeing them in their beautifully festive kitchen. Through the windows you can see woodland creatures in the wintery landscape, and the room itself is stuffed with baubles, seasonal treats, a dresser filled with decorated crockery and presents scattered about ready to be delivered.

This jigsaw was actually more difficult to complete than I thought it would be. There's a lot of detail in the picture and not many clear blocks of colour, I often found myself having to look closely at the image on the box to see where the pieces fitted.

This is another great quality jigsaw puzzle from Ravensburger. I love the festive design, and it's an image that I think would appeal to all ages. Mine are a bit little yet to be helping me with it (although that doesn't stop them trying!) but it would be a great jigsaw to leave out for the whole family to work on together over Christmas.

I received this jigsaw puzzle to review, Amazon link is affiliate.
