• Obtain an up-to-date landlord’s Gas Safety Certificate (usually needed every three years)
• At least one smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector (to be tested on a regular basis)
• TV licence (if you sublet your caravan then it will need its own licence)
• Public liability insurance to cover you and your guests in case of accidents or injury whilst staying at your caravan
• Health and safety checks.

Give it a ‘winter’ clean

A good first impression should create an impressive lasting impression – so make sure you give your caravan a good scrub!

As each visitor will have their own set of needs, consider what you might need to provide for them as well as inform them about any additional items they might want to take into the caravan. Some guests may prefer bringing their own bedding, so if it means you only need to provide pillows and cushions, you’re instantly saving yourself plenty of time and money.

But don’t forget, it’s the little touches that really makes guests feel truly welcome. From leaving them essential bathroom items or placing a box of chocolates in the caravan, you’re guaranteed to win them over – making them feel at home as soon as they step foot into your (their) holiday home.
